Christmas

Christmas was good to us this year.  And just to prove it, I have about 5 million pictures.  Here are just a few of them.
Koy got to hang out with Santa at preschool.  He was a little wary at first but warmed up as soon as Santa offered him a candy cane.
Koy and Cassie enjoying all the snow we got before Christmas.  And before it all melted.

Making sweet rolls with the ladies.
(Katie always looks like that.)

At the Barney party.  Koy took his role of shepherd very seriously.

Opening a present and enjoying the chaos.

Next, it was time to celebrate with the Trane's.  We had a pizza party and ate on blankets.  Koy loved it!

This time Koy was a sheep in the Nativity.  Come on, so cute!

Bodey, strutting his stuff.

All the Trane grandsons singing carols.

Time for Christmas eve!  This year the kids had to go on a scavenger hunt to find their present.

Gotta love the self-timer.

Christmas morning, Santa found us.

Playing, playing, playing.

Christmas afternoon at my parent's.

Like any good mother, I made Koy stand in front of the tree and perform.
We are so blessed!
Now, on to the New Year!

Naughty and Nice

Here at the Trane house, we are using Santa bribes to our advantage. And let me tell you, Koy must want something really fancy because he has been a great older brother lately.

I was doing laundry and Koy and Bodey were being too quiet. I looked in Koy's room and this is what I found. I had to sneak to take this picture.

Koy had them all set up and fishing off the bed. Bodey loved it. Koy was mad that I had interrupted them.

Wherever one is, so is the other. What a couple of clowns!

The cutest.

Koy makes sure to take care of everyone. Even me.

Santa is going to have to bring something really cool for these boys if this behavior keeps up!

Preschool Program

Koy had his very first preschool program on December 8th.
I could have died and gone to heaven-it was the cutest!
He had no problem standing up there singing his heart out and shaking his booty off.
We were so proud!
He was so excited to have everyone there to watch him.

The "Reindeer" hokey pokey.

He knew all the words and all the actions.
This kid has some performance skills!

Halloween Mania

Is it just me, or did Halloween go on forever this year? Luckily for me, I love Halloween.
The first adventure was the preschool party. I helped with some games and it was pretty funny to see how Koy acts at school. He is all about it.

Koy and his buddy, Reis.

The whole class.

Next was the Halloween extravaganza at the Legacy Center.
How cute are those little monsters?

Bodey held onto that sucker long after it was gone. It kept him occupied all night.

Trick-or-Treating

They had all sorts of mascots there this year. Koy thought the 1/2 Jazz Bear was pretty great.

But for some reason he was really excited about Swoop. TJ and I were so proud.

Then we stopped by the Nightmare Express in Lindon.

We waited in line for a long time, but the kids did pretty well. The train was cool, maybe a little scary. I think we'll go earlier next year-before all the ghosts and ghouls come out.

All of us at the family party. TJ and I put a lot of time into our costumes.

Bodey looking a little like Harry Potter in Adam's "Where's Waldo" glasses.

Pumpkins

Last week we (along with the Kolowich's) went to a pumpkin patch in Sandy to get some pumpkins.

Koy, Bodey and Abers ready to get moving.

Abe and Bodey liked riding around in the wagons. Actually, Bodey really liked the ride but Abe likes to go his own way, on his own.

I could barely get any pictures of Koy because he would not hold still long enough. He was super excited and I think he touched every pumpkin left in that patch.

Bodey, playing the pumpkin drums.

What a great family picture. We'll blame it on the sun, not our uncooperative children.

A few days later it was time to decorate the pumpkins.
This year, we opted to paint them instead of carve. We figured Koy would have more fun since he doesn't have any carving skillz. Unless you count animal carcasses.

Once again, Bodey pounding away.

Koy had to cover every inch of his pumpkin. And I had to impersonate the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Bring on the costumes and candy!

One Year

Bodey is now one whole year!
He went from baby to boy almost overnight. He is such a good kid-so mellow and happy. He is standing on his own and will be walking in no time. I can hardly stand it!
Here he is ready for the party to start. We had family over for dinner and cake and ice cream. TJ made an awesome little frog cake just for Bodey and I made cake pops for everyone else.
Yummy!

Focusing pretty hard to get into that present. Koy was so excited for Bodey the whole time. We now have lots of new and exciting toys for them to fight over!

This trio causes a scene wherever we go. It's so great to have cousins so close in age.

He was not all too sure why everyone was looking at him and singing. It made me realize that he doesn't have the spotlight on just him very often. He is much more comfortable when he has his brother by his side to steal some of the attention.

Digging in.
We love this kid so much! I think maybe we should stop having kids now because the two we have are pretty much perfect.
(I can say that now because they are both asleep.)
Happy Birthday Boders!

You can all enjoy Bodey's first taste of cake. So cute. And look to see how bad Koy wanted to get his little fingers in on the action.

Only Once

This is the one and only time Koy has fallen asleep somewhere other than his bed or carseat. Seriously, his whole life!

TJ put him to sleep, then had to leave. I was in running on the treadmill when I felt him staring me down. He told me he was too scared to go to bed so I, not wanting to abandon my run, told him he could sit on the floor and wait for me to finish. He did, and thus, a miracle occurred!

Notice he is holding onto that stuffed deer head.

He has been obsessed with hunting lately (must run in the family). I opened the fridge and his deer head was sitting there. I told him to come get it because toys don't belong in the fridge. His response, "But mom, that is where deer meat goes." I thought that was pretty funny. Then later that day he came into the bathroom and started washing his hands. I asked him what he was doing. These were his exact words, "I just got some blood on my hands while I was cutting my deer that I shot." I was slightly worried. Is it wrong that shooting and gutting an animal is the focus of a 3 year-old's day? This kid is crazy!

Fat Camp

My sister, Katie, and I were lucky enough to go to the newest
Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge in Malibu.

We were quite nervous before we got there. Wondering if our bodies could handle everything, but we went and after spending the week there, I must say, they do not joke around. From sun-up to sun-down you are working out, or talking about working out.

This is the group exercise room. There was also a gym with cardio and weight equipment and a pool.

Here is the lovely dining room, where we ate all of our gourmet meals.

(This was Katie's favorite spot. She just got so excited waiting to see what came next.)

Me and Katie with Daris.

We met a few people from the show while we were there. Daris was so great, and had the best attitude. Danny was there and so nice, and so was Michael. He wasn't so great.
Oh yeah, Sam and Stephanie stopped by. They are still together, cute!
Our day was spent:
Breakfast
Morning hike-2 hours, 4-6 miles
Group exercise class-1 hour
Lunch, Lecture
Group exercise classes-3 hours
Dinner, Lecture
We ate no more than 1200 calories per day. The schedule seems overwhelming, but there is no time to stop and think about it so you just keep going.
One of our hikes ended up on Zuma beach. (The beach where Baywatch was filmed.)

We hiked around some waterfalls, saw some interesting stuff and pretended like we were enjoying ourselves.

Our hiking group.

Our fave hiking guide, Zoe. She was out of control and has been on a number of reality shows, by accident.

While we were there, we were lucky enough to tour the Biggest Loser set.
In front of the gym with our fat camp bff's, Russ and Mandi.

Cam was our tour guide. Michelle and Cam have done an amazing job building their business and we owe our wonderful week to them!

Chillin' in the BL living room.

In Dr. H.'s office. Katie is holding a pound of fat, and I never want to see a measuring tape in relation to my body ever again.

And on the giant scale.
Everyone at the resort reffered to us as, "the sisters", which was a relief because we thought everyone was going to think we were a lesbian couple.
It was pretty obvious we were related once we showed everyone our synchronized swimming routines in the pool.
We had a great time, it was just amazing to me that my body kept going, and I only wanted to cry three times.
