Halloween

Isn't Halloween so fun?  We think it is.  Here's what we did to celebrate.

We went to Cornbelly's and had lots fun because there was so much to do.  TJ and I, however, were completely unprepared.  The batteries in the camera died, we were hungry, and we were definitely not dressed warm enough.  When we go next year we will be prepared for everything!

My personal favorite fall activity-painting and carving pumpkins.  Painting is the way to go when you have little ones.

TJ and I still carved ours.  It just isn't the same if you don't have glowing jack-o-lanterns.

Our annual Barney Bash.  The weather was nice enough this year that the kids got to play in the leaves outside.

Cassie was protecting Bodey because Grandpa got out his leaf blower to knock more leaves off the trees.  Bodey wasn't a fan.
Koy and his buddy Reis at their school's trunk or treat.  They were the Autobot Army.
Elmo and Optimus ready to trick or treat.
We knocked on every door in the neighborhood.  Bodey was a trooper and Koy loved every second of it.  It is so great to have a real neighborhood and friends to go trick or treating with.  I felt like a full-on mom!

Bodey's Second

Oh boy, Bodey is already two!  It feels like time is flying by with him.  He is such a sweet, handsome momma's boy.  He loves to be wherever I am, always holding my hand.  He idolizes his brother and is his copycat in every way.  He loves doing puzzles and coloring.  But most of all, he loves Elmo.  He sticks out his belly when he walks and has blue eyes and dimples.  He's the best, and we love him!

Disney

We went to Disneyland at the end of September, and as usual, it did not disappoint.  Sure, it was exhausting and there were plenty of meltdowns (for everyone) but we are already counting down to when we can go again.

We started with a day at the beach.  The boys were in heaven.  Bodey loved to stand in the water and feel the sand disappear between his toes.  Koy was all over.  Chasing birds, being swallowed by waves, and finding tons of sea shells.

TJ is a pro at building sand sculptures.  He had as much fun as the kids playing in the sand.
On to Disney.  Bodey loved meeting all the characters.  He wasn't even a little bit scared.  So cute.
Bodey would get a little loopy when it got late, so he decided to get out his blanket and lay down right in the middle of the sidewalk.
Shining up McQueen.  This is one thing they are still talking about-they thought it was the best thing ever.
Cruising with Grandpa.
Koy was so excited for Jedi training.  He is still so proud of his Training Completion Certificate.
Cutest ears ever.

It was so great to go with all my family.  Thank goodness for grandparents and older cousins that could entertain the littles while we went on the big rides.
Koy went on every single ride, including Tower of Terror.  That kid wasn't afraid of anything-he takes after his mother.

Summer Review

We're so sad to see summer go, so we"ll just re-live it over and over again through the pictures.
Hanging in the 'hood watching fireworks

We did a little fishing.

Cousins loitering under the bridge with the riff-raff

S'mores at Grandma's & Grandpa's house

Tramp time at G-ma's & G-pa's

We logged plenty of hours at all the local swimming holes.

Koy started his professional sporting career.

We finally managed to fit in a trip to the ranch.

Koy even learned to flip.

I'd call this summer a success!
Until we meet again...

Summer, so far.

We have really been enjoying summer for the two weeks since it decided to show up.

We spent a day at the splash pad for the Barney reunion...
Having older cousins is the best.
Koy was armed and dangerous.

We have gone to a couple of parades...
Koy chillin' with some of the Trane cousins.
Double Trouble:  Abe and Bodey.
Bodey loves every single thing a parade has to offer.

Koy became a man...
For real.

Koy and his buddy Reis became ninja warriors...
I literally had tears every time we went to karate.  Watching 4-year old boys trying to control themselves long enough to learn a movement is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
Bodey wanted in on the ninja action.

But the best thing that has happened this summer is this...
Oh I could die.  This is how Koy sleeps.  The underwear, the Transformers, the slippers-it's just too much for me to handle.  I have to say, this picture makes me so happy I have boys!
