The Happenings

Bodey is belly-crawling all over the place.

He also has two brand-new shiny teeth.

And what would a post be without a fishing pic?

I know it looks like I am re-posting all of these fishing pictures.
I'm not, it's just that Koy always has to wear that hat when he goes fishing. It says Future Fisherman. He loves it, and I love him.

24th

Wouldn't the pioneers be happy to know that we celebrated all their trekking and sacrificing at a foam party this year? Well, we did.

Koy was sure excited to dive into that foam.

He was not thrilled when he was in the direct line of fire from the hose.

(Notice the goggles still on the forehead. He's all about fashion-not function.)

Me and Bodey rockin' out to some sort of bar band at the park.

Pizza and waterslides were the perfect way to cap off our Pioneer celebration. Abe and Bodey. These two are going to be quite the duo once they both decide to walk.

I think this was one of the best days of Koy's life.

When he was going to bed he just kept saying, "That sure was a great day, Mom."

So glad I wasn't a pioneer, but aren't we grateful that they walked, and walked, and walked.....

Under the Bridge

Last night Bodey and I decided to join TJ and Koy on one of their fishing excursions. We thought it would be a fun family night activity so we packed up a picnic for dinner and headed out.
The plan was to go to Koy & TJ's favorite spot, but when we got there it was already occupied. We tried a few other places and then TJ thought he would take us somewhere else.
Where?
Under a bridge.

You might think, "Oh, what a lovely place. Look at that family spending quality time together."

This is what the scenery really looked like.

Graffitti all over, spiderwebs above our heads, and I'm sure some sort of paraphenalia just around the corner.

I tried to put the fact that there were giant spiders and gross stuff all around out of my head by taking pictures of Bodey. He looked pretty cute, so that worked for a while.

In the end, we didn't last long. I now have some major boy-mom brownie points saved up because I huddled under that stinky bridge just to catch some fish.

I also now know what it would feel like to be homeless and living under a bridge. no thanks.

The Fourth

The Fourth is prime party-time at the Barney's.
This year Dana got us to play games from that TV show, Minute to Win It.
It was pretty amusing and even the little kids could play.

Koy trying to blow all the cards except one off of the bottle. He didn't quite get the object of the game, so he just blew all the cards off at once and thought he won.

Trying to stack 7 ding-dongs on your forehead is not so easy. I almost did it but Katie put her hand where it didn't belong.

Shaking ping-pong balls out of an empty tissue box belted around your waist. It doesn't take much to entertain us.

Watching TJ was very entertaining.

Watching the fireworks and freezing.
We had lots o' fun! Maybe next year we'll all make it through the movie!

Safety Kid

It's a special day when TJ lets Koy play in his work attire.

Safety Manager, Koy, reporting for duty.

He will karate chop anyone that doesn't follow the rules.
(Or anyone that does. He's just like that.)

Oh, I thought this was funny.
Bodey was eating prunes and ended up looking like the Joker.
