I went to D.C. last week with Katie to visit our sister Melanie who still lives there. Both of us forgot our digital cameras, so this is the only picture we got with Katie's iphone. A little explanation about the helmets; at first I thought they were pretty embarassing, but after getting on one of those things I realized it would probably save my life, and save us from a large ER bill. Yup, don't worry that we rode around our nation's capitol looking like that. Melanie was a pro, Katie was pretty good, and let's just say that my palms were sweating the whole time. I don't know how much of the sites I saw because I didn't dare take my eyes off of where I was going.The segways were probably the most memorable part of the trip but we also went to a National's game, stayed in Georgetown, and ate, ate, ate. Thanks to TJ, my in-laws and my parents for letting me be Koy-free for six whole days!
My sisters make me laugh more than anything else-thanks Melanie for hosting us and for our generous surprise! Can I just say that I'm sorry to Katie for stealing her Doc Marten's in 8th grade, I sure am glad we patched that up and are friends now.

soooo funny!! i can't even handle this. i wish i could have been there to be a first hand witness! you are too funny. we missed you at bunco. i was dying without you. plus did i even tell you i lost by 2 points! if you were there i would have won. just my luck! lol.
That looks like so much fun! I was going to do the whole segway thing at a recent vacation in San Francisco, but it was sooo cold! And I was also a little concerned about the whole helmet thing. I hear DC is amazing. We'll have to get together sometime!
I that picture has made my day. I can only imagine you through touring the DC on those bad boys. We sure do miss you. Hope all is going well.
